Do You Know Why America is Falling Apart?
Find Out the Surprising Simple Answer in this Article
The real reason America is divided and everything is falling apart, from healthcare to education is because each of us runs into the same problem everyday and we refuse to follow one simple solution.
Take a moment.
Did your instincts just tell you to “argue” with that statement? Do you want to tell me “why I’m wrong and you are right?”
The Simple Truth
You just found the problem.
Everyday, we are bombarded with misinformation. And our instincts tell us we should argue with the bots and fakes. Except, that’s the opposite of what we should be doing. Why are our instincts wrong?
That’s actually an interesting question. What’s more surprising is our grandparents were the opposite. They weren’t this disagreeable with each other. Take for example, when the Nazi’s tried to take over the world. The Greatest Generation did not debate the merits of going to war. Maybe they should have? But the truth is they didn’t.
What they did was enlist.
But that’s not how you think. Is it?
If someone tells you something, your first instinct is to tell them why they are wrong and you are right. Your first instinct is to be the Freedom of Speech police. You feel it’s your job to “set the record straight.”
The Simple Solution
The problem with always defending your position is that you are exhausted at the end of the day. The only people that should be arguing for a living are courtroom attorneys and elected officials on the Statehouse and Federal floors of government.
The individual citizen should not be ARGUING at all.
If people disagree with you, it’s ok. They have the right to disagree with you. It’s not your job to convince them of anything. In fact, the more you argue with people the harder it is to prove anything.
Are you ready for the simple solution?
Take a deep breath first.
This is going to be hard to follow because your instincts are going to tell you that I’m wrong and you are right. Your first instinct is going to be to debate this article tooth and nail.
Here’s the Simple Solution:
Stop arguing with people.
That’s it! That’s the simple solution.
We live in America and this is supposed to be the land of the free. People can’t be free if you are putting your finger in their face and telling them why they are wrong and you are right.
That’s not freedom! That’s just first grade bullying.
The next time someone says something that you think is completely wrong, take a deep breath. You are not the Freedom of Speech police. What they think should not matter to you.
Want Some Help?
I know it will be hard to follow this advice. For some reason, people in the 21st century hate to listen to other people. We would rather get into a full-out argument with people and prove how much we know.
It’s a complete waste of your time and energy. Stop arguing!
