In 1776, Thomas Jefferson penned these words:

“We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

I’m sure you’ve heard these words before.

But do you understand what they mean?

Who Has All the Power?

Jefferson’s famous words are not in the US Constitution. Did you even realize that?

“Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” is just an idea he had — but it’s not what our US Constitution lays out as actual rights under the law. Instead, our Founding Fathers decided to write a US Constitution and then attach a Bill of Rights to it because there was so much disagreement and dissent among the 13 colonies.

You think America is deeply divided in 2024 ? Then you haven’t begun to study American History and learn how horribly Americans have treated other Americans.
